Hello! I’m Chantal, a multi-disciplinary artist and potter based in Gulfport, MS, known for my work in Chantal King Art. I create vibrant coastal art and handmade pottery inspired by color, emotion, and the evolving beauty of life’s journey.

My Creative Roots

My love for art began in childhood, sparked by the sale of my first watercolor painting at just 10 years old. That early spark grew throughout my youth, fueled by mentors who encouraged me to see art as a lifelong path.

I began working with clay during community college and felt an immediate connection to the medium. This passion led me to William Carey University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramics. I have been an established artist since 2008, constantly exploring how different textures and materials can tell a story.

A Journey of Healing

In 2010, I faced a significant health challenge that deeply affected my ability to create. For a long season, the weight of that experience made art feel out of reach. During this time, I focused on my family and the joys of motherhood, though my relationship with my craft remained complicated.

Today, I have come full circle. I am creating again—not just as a professional, but as a practice of therapy, healing, and authentic self-expression. Returning to the studio has been a grounding and joyful reclamation of my identity, and I am honored to share that energy with you.
