I am an artist based in Gulfport, Mississippi, where the serene landscapes often inspire my work. As a proud military spouse, I understand the unique challenges and joys that come with this lifestyle. My life is enriched by my two wonderful children and our affectionate dapple dachshund, who always seem to bring joy to our home. Since embarking on my artistic journey in 2008, I have honed my skills and developed my passion, culminating in a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from William Carey University. Through my art, I seek to convey the profound beauty I find in both nature and faith.

Behind the Canvas: The Artist's Journey

My journey into the world of art began in my childhood, a time filled with creativity and discovery. While in elementary school, I vividly remember crafting a vibrant jungle scene with watercolors, a piece that unexpectedly caught the eye of local patrons and found its way to a display in our neighborhood mall. To my astonishment, I received an offer for $75, signaling my very first sale and igniting a spark within me. As I progressed through high school, I immersed myself in art classes, where my passion deepened. My art teacher became a significant source of inspiration, continually encouraging me to pursue my artistic aspirations. I eagerly enrolled in painting and ceramics courses at a community college located along the picturesque Mississippi Gulf Coast, where I was instantly captivated by the tactile nature of clay and the joy of bringing my ideas to life. Initially, I aspired to become an art teacher, a path I felt was fitting for my creative inclinations. However, life took a different turn when I met my husband, and shortly after, I faced a challenging diagnosis related to my mental health. Despite graduating in 2008 with a major in Ceramics, I encountered a significant setback in 2010 when I experienced a mental health crisis that halted my artistic pursuits for an extended period, leading me to lose touch with my passion. Fortunately, I have since rediscovered my love for art, and I am thrilled to be creating once again! This renewed sense of purpose fuels my creative journey, and I am excited to share my work with the world.
